We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. The past few years have been a rollercoaster journey for all of us, filled with both challenges and triumphs. Today, we are excited to provide you with a comprehensive update on our progress, address the obstacles we’ve encountered, share our plans for the future, and introduce an important address verification process.

But first and foremost, thank you for your continued support and encouragement. We wouldn’t be able to do it without this great community!

Elabox Shipping Progress

Alright, let’s talk about the heart of our project — the Elabox itself. We are thrilled to report significant progress in our Elabox shipping timeline:

• September Week 1: Our journey began with the successful delivery of the expected Raspberry Pi boards to our US address from our new supplier.
• September Week 2: Collaborating closely with our shipping company, we set the wheels in motion for the boards’ voyage to the Philippines.

• September Week 3: The boards have now safely arrived in the Philippines. Over the weekend, they will be shipped to our island, where they will undergo local assembly with quality assurance and efficiency being our priority. We’re pleased to emphasize that, besides the Raspberry Pi boards, all other components required to build, assemble, and package the Elaboxes are already on the island and ready for final assembly.
• September Week 4: Anticipation builds as we expect the boards to reach our island, marking a significant milestone in our journey.

Completing Pending Orders

Our commitment to you is unwavering. We are dedicated to promptly assembling the Elaboxes using the 60 boards required to fulfill our commitments:

• October Week 1: Once assembly is completed, they will be prepared for international delivery, destined for Manila to start the next phase of their journey.
• October Week 2: The assembled Elabox units will arrive in Manila, ready for delivery to our valued customers via the trusted hands of DHL.
• October Week 4: The moment you’ve all been waiting for arrives as customers will finally receive their long-awaited Elabox units.

Address Verification Process

To ensure a seamless and successful delivery experience, we will soon initiate an address verification process for community members who are awaiting their Elabox deliveries. Your participation in this step is crucial to ensure accurate and hiccup-free deliveries:

• In the coming days, you will receive an email with instructions on how to confirm or update your shipping address.
• We kindly request that you review this information carefully and take prompt action to ensure the accuracy of your delivery details.

Acknowledging Challenges and Expressing Gratitude

It’s crucial for us to address the challenges we’ve encountered along the way and express our sincere apology for any inconveniences caused. These challenges primarily stemmed from unforeseen issues with our Raspberry Pi suppliers, compounded by the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the challenges:

• Shortages: Some suppliers faced difficulties in fulfilling our orders due to pandemic-related shortages.
• Minimum Size: In certain instances, our orders didn’t meet the required minimum size for production.
• Price Fluctuations: Pandemic-related shortages have resulted in significant price fluctuations.
• Contract Breach: Regrettably, one supplier breached our contract by delivering our ordered boards to a larger customer of theirs.

In hindsight, we understand that we should have been much more transparent and communicated more effectively. We genuinely apologize for any frustration or uncertainty these challenges may have caused.

A Renewed Commitment

Looking ahead, we are committed to a renewed enthusiasm and a burning desire to make the Elabox project a resounding success. Transparency and consistent communication will be at the core of our approach.

Elastos: Our Trusted Partner

We are excited to share that our journey forward is significantly enhanced by working alongside Elastos core teams. They have guided us as we navigated the challenges faced with suppliers, business development, and public relations. Elavation’s expertise and commitment are invaluable to our project.

A New Partnership: A Beacon of Promise

Following collaboration with Elastos and the growth team, we are actively working with senior leaders of another prominent Web3 ecosystem on a new partnership. Our goal is to integrate Elabox and Elastos technology (Hive, Carrier, and DID) into their ecosystem. While this partnership is still in progress and not official, it holds immense promise. Look out for further information about Elabox business development and public relations in this regard. We aim to announce this new partnership publicly within the next month.

Looking Ahead: Exciting Developments

Our journey is not just about shipping Elabox units, it’s about the bigger picture. Here’s what’s on our horizon:

• Elabox Lite: An OS version to allow users to run an Elabox on their desktop has made significant progress. The developer version is complete, and we have received initial feedback from the Elavation team and a subset of community members who graciously performed a round of UAT. We are currently working hard on incorporating this feedback and resolving identified bugs with an Alpha version scheduled for release at the end of November. We look forward to welcoming initial community feedback on this exciting new product.

UI Design Concepts

• New Website: A fresh and new, mobile-responsive website is in the works, scheduled for release by the end of December.
• Collected Rewards: We are aiming to distribute collected ELA rewards by the end of November.
• ElaboxOS Premium: In Q1 2024, we plan to release the ElaboxOS Premium, an OS-only installer for users that want to assemble their own DIY Elabox.

Alongside our shipping update, we are thrilled to announce that we will begin assembling an additional 90 Elabox units. These units will only go on sale after all outstanding orders have been received and any issues resolved, in order to provide a better experience for our community moving forwards.

• October 2023: We will commence the assembly of 90 additional Elabox units, in parallel with the assembly of outstanding units. These will be made available for purchase once we’ve fulfilled all pending orders.
• Fall 2023: We aim to complete the assembly of these 90 Elabox units this Fall, bringing this hardware saga to a close and preparing ourselves for the future.

Further Exciting Developments

Beyond our core products, we are exploring several avenues to enhance the Elabox ecosystem:

• Carrier 2 Personal Nodes: We are actively discussing the inclusion of Carrier 2 personal nodes on Elabox with the Trinity team. Some community evangelists have already managed to configure and run a Carrier 2 node themselves — exciting times!
• Support for BPoS Validator Nodes: Elabox is on the path to support running BPoS Validator nodes. Some community evangelists have already managed successfully to run BPoS validator nodes and are earning ELA as we speak!
• Chain Synchronization: Efforts are underway to resolve chain syncing issues with priority Gelaxy support.
• Behind-the-Scenes Snapshots: We will be sharing photos and a news article on the assembly process, offering a unique look into the creation of your Elabox units on a remote island in the Philippines. With Elavation’s help, we hope to get this picked up by the media, next-generation Web3 tech built in a remote village on a small island — how interesting is that?
• dApp Store 2.0: Continue developing a new and enhanced DApp Store that uses DID, Carrier, & Hive technologies. Developers can publish truly decentralized DApps and users can then view these on their Elabox Device, OS, or Lite. We expect to launch a dApp Store Alpha Version in Q1 2024
• 108 Elabox NFT: After distributing the ELA rewards, testing DID & Essential wallet integrations, we will then start working on our code. The plan is to release an Elabox Limited Edition NFT (108). Target date is Q2 2024

• License Key NFT: We want each Premium Elabox license key (Standard & Limited Edition) value to become transferable. To achieve this, we plan on converting each license key into an NFT (including 108 Limited Edition license keys). The target date is Q2 2024.
